After four successful events across the Phoenix Valley and in Tucson, Larry H. Miller Dealerships, in partnership with Safe Kids Arizona and local first responders, hosted the final 2018 event of the annual Keys to Car Seat Safety campaign.

The free car seat and booster seat safety check took place Oct. 20 at Larry H. Miller Dodge Ram Peoria, 8665 W. Bell Road in Peoria.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, car crashes are the leading cause of death and injury to children ages 1 to 13 in the United States. Properly-installed child safety seats can reduce the risk of death by as much as 71 percent.

However, even the best-intentioned parents and guardians can struggle to get the right fit for their child’s seat.

The Saturday car seat checks were open to the public, and attendees were encouraged to take their children to the events to ensure their car or booster seat could be inspected for a proper fit.
