I keep my promises

The endorsements of the incumbents in The Glendale Star were the same as the Glendale Chamber ... rubber stamped. There was a new blog posted by Councilmember Joyce Clark today discussing this very point (www.joyceclarkunfiltered.com). Of my interview with the editorial staff of The Glendale Star, only about half of what was said was printed. They didn’t print anything about the amount of charity work I’ve been involved in and the thousands of dollars raised for veterans, homeless and kids. Let’s not forget the funds raised to build a new K-9 training facility for the Glendale Police Department or the funds raised for new equipment for the Glendale Police Forensics Unit.
Also let’s clear up one point about the $162 million from sales tax for light rail. It appears from the article that I wanted all of it to go to fix streets. Apparently, the interviewers didn’t hear the rest of what I had to say. What was printed is only half of the story to give a more favorable slant towards my opponent. I have been active in charity work and not sitting on my hands and turning a deaf ear to matters as my opponent, Mr. Turner.
Many in the Barrel District are disappointed in his performance/poor communication when he promised he would “get back to them.” “Word not kept!” His resistance to working with the council and being an obstructionist is well known.
I’m Ray Strahl and I’m running for Glendale City Council and I keep my promises!
