APOLLO HAWKS 43, SIERRA VISTA BUENA COLTS 42

The Hawks allowed 522 total yards but held off a late Buena rush to secure a 43-42 victory over Buena Sept. 21 at Apollo High school.
Apollo (2-3) travels to Peoria Centennial (5-0) at 7 p.m. Sept. 28 at Centennial High School.

PHOENIX BARRY GOLDWATER BULLDOGS 34, DEER VALLEY SKYHAWKS 13

Goldwater scored the go-ahead touchdown with three minutes left in the first quarter and pulled away for a 34-13 victory over Deer Valley Sept. 21 at Barry Goldwater High School.
The Skyhawks’ defense allowed 460 total rushing yards as both Marquise Corley (226) and Deandre Robinson (223) each went over 200 yards rushing in the win.
Deer Valley was led by Dez Melton who rushed for 168 yards and a touchdown in the loss.
Deer Valley (0-5) travels to Cactus (4-1) at 7 p.m. Sept. 28 at Cactus High School.

GLENDALE CARDINALS 35, SAHUARITA WALDEN GROVE RED WOLVES 14

After Walden Grove scored in the final minutes of the first quarter, Glendale pulled away for a 35-14 victory over Walden Grove Sept. 21 at Glendale High School.
T.J. Owens completed 14 of 20 passes for 294 yards and two touchdowns while Kevin Daniels rushed for 124 yards and three touchdowns in leading the Cardinals to a huge victory. Johnny Apodaca caught five passes for 143 yards and a touchdown and Alexi Silva grabbed three passes for 76 yards and a touchdown.
Andre Neal and Brannon Lopez each had a sack and Ray Hardwick intercepted two passes as the Cardinals remained undefeated on the season.
Glendale (5-0) hosts Phoenix Cortez (0-5) at 7 p.m. Sept. 28 at Glendale High School.

IRONWOOD EAGLES 56, SURPRISE WILLOW CANYON WILDCATS 6

The Eagles dominated on the ground, rushing for 313 yards as a team in cruising to a 56-6 victory over Willow Canyon Sept. 21 at Surprise Willow Canyon High School.
Devante Wimbish rushed for 204 yards and five touchdowns while adding 97 passing yards and another touchdown in the victory. Nate Guzman caught two passes for 82 yards and a touchdown while Junior Shima and Elijah Sanders each rushed for 42 yards for the Eagles.
Chance Neal had two sacks while Tanner Raymond intercepted a pass to lead the defense as the Eagles scored the first 49 points in improving to 4-1 on the season.
Ironwood (4-1) hosts Peoria Sunrise Mountain (3-2) at 7 p.m. Sept. 28 at Ironwood High School.
